What is a Lavender Scented Candle?
Scented candles are the solution to it all! Scented candles tend to add an unparalleled ambiance to any and every space they are placed in. Whether you have just moved into a new house or having been living in the same house for as long as you can recollect, scented candles will make the space homey.
As for meals, scented candles make any and every meal a hundred times more enjoyable. Whether you are savouring a delicious dinner with a romantic partner, friends or family — scented candles will somehow make it better!
Just when you think it can’t get any better than this, let us tell you it can! How? Lavender Scented candles! That’s it. That is the answer.
Lavender Scented candles offer everything that scented candles have to offer, except better!
It is essential you first understand what scented candles are. Regular scented candles consist of pure wax, which can be paraffin wax, soy wax, coconut wax, beeswax and more. Several fragrances- one or a mixture of more than one- can then be added to the candle wax. Fragrances are added to candle wax when it is in liquid form. Once both have been incorporated together, candles are transformed into molds. And then you have a magical product at your disposal!
What makes lavender scented candles different?
The fragrance which is added to the candle wax is specifically lavender! Sometimes other scents/essential oils are also added into lavender candles to compliment the smell of lavender candles. Some common ones include basil, lemon, cinnamon and coramin.
The possibilities are endless. Really, endless!

Why Does Soy Wax Make Lavender Scented Candles Smell Better?
Yes! Soy wax candles are known to carry scents and fragrances better. So, it is no surprise that soy wax makes lavender candles smell much better!
Soy waxes are slow burning candles owing to their chemical makeup. As a result, a pool of wax forms around the wick. From this pool of liquid wax, the fragrance slowly and evenly escapes into the air.
Consequently, lavender smells better and even more intense when the candle is made of soy wax!
Process of Making Lavender Soy Wax Candles
Step 1: Measuring the wax
Before you begin the candle-making process, make sure that our surface is clean and no germs are present on the surface.
Then measure out the wax flakes needed to make a set amount of candles. Then double it. That’s how much wax you will need to melt.
Step 2: Melting the wax
Then pour the wax into a double boiler and let it melt for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently with a wooden spoon.
Step 3: Adding fragrance oils
When the candle wax is melted, it’s time to add fragrance oils. Pour the fragrance oils, mainly lavender oil, into the melted wax and stir for a few seconds.
Adding the lavender oil results in a captivating flowering smell!
Step 4: Attaching the wick
First attach the wick to the bottom of the container before pouring in the wax.
Do so by attaching the wick by dipping it in the melting wax then quickly sticking it to the bottom of the container. Then give the wax five minutes to harden.
Step 5: Pouring the wax
Before pouring the wax into the container, let it cool for a few minutes.
When the temperature on the thermometer reads 140 degrees, it’s time to pour!
Then, slowly hand pour the wax into your container!
Step 6: Adding more wax
If the candle is hardened with an unsightly top (think cracks or holes), simply reheat and add the remaining wax. Let it harden!
Step 7: Cutting the wick
Finally, cut the wax so it is less than half an inch long.
